I understand that participating in a 5K run/walk involves inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to, falls, collisions with other participants, effects of weather, traffic and course conditions, dehydration, and other hazards associated with physical activity and outdoor events. I voluntarily choose to participate and assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with my participation in the Event.

By participating, I certify that I am physically fit, sufficiently trained for a 5K run/walk, and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional. I am solely responsible for monitoring my own condition before, during, and after the Event, and for stopping or seeking medical help if I feel unwell, unsafe, or in pain.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Event, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, and discharge FIT STREET MARKET, its owners, organizers, volunteers, race officials, sponsors, vendors, instructors, the City and any facility or venue owners, and any affiliated entities or individuals (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liability for injury, illness, property damage, or death arising out of or connected with my participation in the Event, even if caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Released Parties, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to my participation in the Event or my breach of this waiver.

I consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, or illness during the Event. I understand that I am solely responsible for any medical costs incurred as a result of such treatment.

I understand that photos, videos, and other media may be taken at the Event. I grant FIT STREET MARKET and its designees the right to use my image, likeness, and voice in any photographs, video recordings, or other media taken at or in connection with the Event for promotional, marketing, and informational purposes, in any format now known or later developed, without compensation and without further notice or approval.

I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for my personal belongings at all times and that the Released Parties are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to my property before, during, or after the Event.

If I am registering a minor for the Event, I certify that I am the minor’s parent or legal guardian and have the legal authority to agree to this waiver on their behalf. I accept all terms of this waiver for the minor and agree to accompany, supervise, and be responsible for the minor as required.

I have read this FIT STREET MARKET 5K Run/Walk Waiver and Release of Liability, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights by agreeing to it. I agree to it freely and voluntarily by completing my registration and/or participating in the Event.
